The gym leader times are just plain inconvenient to the player seeing as you can't do them with any degree of reliability unless you change the system clock. Doesn't help that they're the best way of gaining levels too.
Then you have the "it kept crystal stuff" people who don't realise
1) How minor those changes were
2) How other equally as minor elements were removed from HGSS
Sounds kind of hypocritical to take one as a positive while the other can't be used as a negative doesn't it.
The rest of it is just making note of how lazy the remake was.
