after the resounding success of the X/Y/ORAS formula, GF and Nintendo realized that the newer generation just wants bright, colorful, easy experiences to whittle away the time.
They'll keep the older generations happy with a relatively balanced competitive scene (for now), but it'll be rare to see anything on the level of BW anytime soon.
