The thing I hate about gen 5 is that there are so fucking many interruptions, much more than SM. SM are more tedious because cutscenes. And yeah, the last gym leader with just 3 Pokémon, with only leveling-up moves and a TM? Pathetic

Gen 5 pokemon aged better in hindsight than any other gen past 1.

Liligant and Maractus for example stand out way more as pure grass types than shit like Carnivine, Gogoat, sunflora or fucking Cherrim, who even remembers these guys?

The homages turned out to be a good thing because gen 1 built up our idea of what a Pokemon should be to begin with.

Don't remind me. Gen 4 had the strangest style of pokemon design in general. I don't know if it's the eyes or whatever but something doesn't fit in line with the other gens.
