Models represent what pokemon are meant to be, you can't just change them. But animations otherwise, they can change those between generations, that would be the equivalent of making new sprites.

Dude almost every non gen-5 mon in gen 5 was recycled. Gen 3 non-gen 3 mons backsprites are RECYCLED FROM GS. Many mons in gen 3,4 and 5 only get a foot or hand change through gens.

The models may be recycled but at least they can do more than stay still or the same animation 24/7.

This is absolute bull. They are just lazy.

The Tales series, Final Fantasy and Etrian Odyssey and many other series did the same thing unique sprites every 2D game for reoccurring monsters yet as soon as they hit 3D all of them recycled the same models and animations for years/decades. It's cheap and easy way out don't try and make it anything more than that.

Tell me how are they going to change models them, retard. Models are the absolute representation of the pokemon, sprites were just representations limited by the hardware. All they are going to do now is improve shaders, textures and animations. There's nothing else to change besides that.

Tell me why you must remodel a pokémon every fucking game if you can change the perspective and idle animation by the first model.
With the sprite is different, you don't have a 3d model where you can do many thing with it, in the sprite you have to redraw it everytime if you want to change its pose. Also drawing a sprite is a lot easier, thinking about there were less pokémon and forms too.
