1 Enter into Nintendo WFC settings on any game's main screen
2 Erase any connection you find there
3 Create a new one
4 Once that's done click on 'Ready' to edit the settings
5 Scroll down to 'Auto-obtain DNS'
6 'No'
7 Set Primary DNS to 178.62.43.212
8 Set Secondary DNS to 1.1.1.1 or 8.8.8.8
* If a secondary DNS doesn't work try the other
*No WEP router? No problem, try this before connecting again
1 Take any spare device, a charging phone, tablet, even a pc. Connect to wifi as usual
2 Check Settings, pick the option about sharing wifi/making a hotspot
3 Check advanced settings too so the thing has WEP and a new password
4 Try connecting your DS to this new spot
