Megas... Game Freak is the one in control in this relationship and they don't do DLC.

Even if Nintendo wants them to, it's not happening.

Wanting everyone to have the same game and thus disliking the very notion of DLC is one of the few good things Game Freak is utterly set in their ways about.

Yes, actually, it is. It defeats the purpose of doing them entirely if they were literally willing to do DLC and just not doing some of it for follow ups instead.

Also since you're making an ass out of yourself assuming things, let me help... I wasn't saying that was good. Only explaining why it won't happen. In my opinion it was reasonable in the past because they actually had some content to give them but it factually stopped being okay in Gen 4 - when they purposely started keeping things out of the first games like tutors to sell the second ones.

The fact that they need to just stop making yearly games and instead release one 100% complete content filled pair of games every 5 years or so has nothing to do with the way things are.

Also, stop making asinine comparisons. DLC doesn't entirely change story. Follow ups have never been 100% comparable to DLC.

If you think the mess they made of US/UM's story is legitimately DLC for S/M then you are legitimately retarded.

Mega evolutions were a stupid idea in the first place because they limited combat and creative freedom, but they could've worked if they were given to weaker pokemon that couldn't just get an additional evolution. Instead, what Gamefreak did was give them to legendaries and other popular, strong existing pokemon so they could pander to genwun faggots yet again. To top it off, pretty much all of the mega designs look like utter shit.

All of this, but the other issue is that the Megas would have eventually would have reached the stronger mons even if they tried the weaker first as fans would want the shillmons to have one too. There's no way to save the idea. If a third evolution mon is too week just give it an alternate, more useful form/evolution like gallade or cherim.
