Decidueye was deconfirmed the moment he was added to Pokken since the Pokken devs avoid adding Pokemon that are already in Smash

In fact, Decidueye likely only made it into Pokken because Incineroar had already been chosen for Smash + was too similar to Machamp, a Pokemon already on Pokken's roster

Incineroar is the Greninja of Gen 7, that's why it got in Smash instead of Pokken (like Decidueye and Braixen).
If Greninja didn't make the cut, I doubt Incineroar will.

Not him, but the devs did say they don’t want too much overlap with Smash, Pikachu is mandatory, but I guess the other 3 were too big to pass up, Decidueye and everyone else in Pokken are just not on the same level as them, except maybe Blaziken.
