that's one thing for minigame style games like Mario Party or 1 2 Switch, for things like pokemon it's another.
A lot of people don't like detaching their joycons at all and prefer to just use the pro controller, it has motion controls so why not?

I already have my preorder for LGP but this isn't something I'd defend. I would've used joycons even if pro compatibility was a thing, but the ability to switch between the two would have been nice for people who would rather use a controller that they paid $70 for.
