1: It is undeniable that Masuda has seeked to lower the difficulty of the games. He had stated this several times in the past. It's less about lowering the tedium, which is perfectly fine, and more about making the games a breeze, which is not. The outlook for gen 8 is looking grim, if LGBT succeeds they might as well casualize gen 8. The games need to be more difficult, not more tedious. You get what I mean?
2: LGBT are games for children, sure. Do you know what other game is aimed to children? Yo-kai Watch. Yet somehow the graphics manage to be better than LGBT, both competing under similar conditions, and dare I say, Pokémon has the upper hand for having more resources to work with. I personally wouldn't be so bothered about the games, if they weren't so basic.
