Unless they do something really dumb this time around, as long as you have Pokemon Go you can get the version exclusives without any trouble and just have to create a separate user for a second save slot.

There's one romhack I'm following that is already better than LGBT and once it's done it will be the best way to play Kanto period with a Johto postgame.

Pikachu is #5 in Japan, #6 in North America.

Eevee is #7 in Japan, #9 in North America.

In both cases it's only being beat out by Mario Party and Smash in the full price game category. North America also has Dark Souls and Diablo. An audience that would totally buy Generation 8 games.

No because they're garbage games. I'm only considering pirating it and even then I still might not, because it's nothing we haven't seen before and it's also watered down garbage compared to FRLG or even GRBY.
