you fucking unovabortion - dp had Darkrai and Cresselia on separate islands in-game while arceus, shaymin, heatran, and giratina were in their own areas that were difficult to reach without action replays or event items - and in hgss you could take arceus to the ruins and get a free dialga, palkia, or giratina -- even in gen 3 they had deoxys, mew, and other events that they would give event items for mythicals instead of just getting it delivered to you at the pokecenter
