>>36920901>Name is comprised of a measurement of brightness and x-rayI know Dark isn't literal darkness, but entertaining that thought for a moment -- doesn't it, sort of, in a backwards way, make sense that it would be Dark if it's associated with light, and can see X-rays? There's no Light Type, so you could use Dark to represent light instead, in a negative sense. It's a dichotomy. Yin Yang.
Anyway.... I'm tired of people saying a Pokémon's coloration means nothing. Sure, a monster being black doesn't automatically make it Dark, but MOST Dark Types are black, or have black accents. Game Freak consistently color Pokémon of a certain Type a certain color, so that players can more easily guess what Type it is.
You can deny that it should be a Dark Type, but not whether or not it looks like one. It very clearly LOOKS like a Dark Type, if nothing else. If they just added a small mention of Luxray being aggressive, no one would even debate this. As it is there's little justification to make it Dark, other than its appearance and fan service.
