Guys, I'm familiar with all the problems with the Let's Go games and I don't want to give Game Freak any money for that shit, but I am feeling vulnerable because 60 dollars is an amount of money I can very easily throw away and I have the freetime to play it. I already skipped US and UM, I just want to enjoy an official Pokemon game again.

Does anyone know if you can immediately box Pikachu/Eevee so I can just take a Squirtle and pretend I'm playing Red/Blue with a graphics patch? Even then I may not buy unless I can get a used copy, but I would at least like to know if it's possible. I have 0 interest in using an unevolvable starter with insulting baby moves like poopy poopoo and bubbly bubba.
