They hold Bank updates back intentionally, not because they need to wait until after.
How dense does one have to be to not see Masuda's wishy-washy bullshit for what it is - an admission that it is not happening because he knows people who actually like the series hate it and aren't buying it and saying it won't connect will shake loose a few more of the brain dead fools planning to buy it anyway, hating it.
