Also, just because a wormhole doesn't have all the outer rings and fancy shapes, doesn't mean it might not contain a legendary. Those are just guaranteed to have a legendary (unless you've caught all the lengendaries that come from that color hole)

No. Only other advice is to just have patience and practice. It stops being cute and becomes infuriating, the more legendaries you catch and the fewer chances to find a wormhole pop up.

If you're not finding a guaranteed hole, and you're running out of energy, go for the color of hole you're aiming for. One which has the most rings. That'll up your chances and it's better than just crashing into a random one.

Legendary mons can be soft-reset to search for shiny.
Regular mons shininess is determined when you enter the area (if shiny they'll always be)
Save as you enter regardless.

When you let go of the control stick in the ride you will return to the center of the tube faster than if you were to push yourself towards center.
