>cubone>sableyeI try to pick new pokemon only, but sometimes a bro comes along and i can't just leave them behind. Alolan forms was pretty good for this. I like grimer and muk so it was a good excuse to pick one up before i dropped the game, not to mention i didn't like any of the alolan pokemon on that first island so my biases were there.
A lot of the regions tend to have the more boring pokemon cross over, i was never a geodude/zubat/machop guy myself so i always tended to favour the natives as a result. Hoenn is the only region i can consistently make multiple teams of natives that i love.
