>>36948973Lorelei team: Good thing they added Alolan Sandslash. But Mina ruined her having two Alolan forms. Beh.
Bruno team: Why couldn't they replace the Onix with a Primeape or something? He has a Poliwrath now, so that's a plus. But why must he have an Onix? Shame we don't have a Fighting-type Alolan form, so we are stuck with Alolan Golem.
Agatha: Limited Ghost-type resources and no Alolan forms in the main game roster means it's mostly a Poison-type roster. I like that she has a Weezing now.
Lance: Not even going to bother repeating Dragonite but they give him a Seadra instead? At least he gets Exeggutor in his post-game team.
>>36948980Melmetal has a moveset optimized with Iron Fist, so stuff such as Thunder Punch, Double Iron Bash (assuming it gets the boost), and Ice Punch as coverage. It also gets EQ. Shouldn't judge this moveset too harshly, as many of the moves have been scrubbed from the LGPE internal data. It might learn some better moves later on.
>>36948987Game Freak actually went ahead and expanded the coverage on many Pokemon. Poliwrath with Superpower is especially welcome, as it didn't have any real powerful Fighting-type moves on the physical side until now.
>>36949046Bullet Punch isn't in the internal data. Same with Psystrike for some odd reason. The new TMs are definitely important, as they function either as powerful attacks for every type, or have some utility. There's no nichey shit as far as TM list goes. Tutor moves are useless since many of them are now TMs.
I am glad that Game Freak paid a lot of attention to changing the internal mechanics as far as moves went. Hopefully it spills over to Gen VIII.
