Anabel in SM has been part of the Mega timeline for 10 years, and she comes from the original timeline and fell through an Ultra Wormhole. The implication is that SM takes place 10 years from Emerald, and thus, RBY.
However, some people have argued that the gap must be larger than 10 years, as we were never explicitly told the distance between HGSS/DPPt and BW. Mina being here blows that out of the water. We don't know her exact age, but it has to be younger than 20 and older than 10 due to how rules for Trial Captains work. If we assume Mina is 19, that would make her 9 in LGPE. I don't think she could reasonably be any age under that with her design, and she cannot be any age older than that.
Therefore, there almost certainly was 10 years between RBY and SM/USUM.
