Iris is American Indian and not black as you can see from her straight, long hair and how she's always shown to be more in tune to her wild side with her connection to nature.
Serena is French.
Mallow is of Polynesian descent, Lana probably is too but to a lesser degree. While she seems to be part white European she could be part East Asian instead, since they all look the same in that art style and her name doesn't give any hints like Lillie's, who is German. I've always viewed Lana as white but I think she was meant to be Asian now that I think about it.
