They forgot to actually advertise it, most people never knew that thing was there and no one even knows the thing Serena do in the anime is supposed to be based on the PR video.

It was basically a way to make players want to explore customization even further.

Of course it only worked for people who chose the female player since only the female MC had a decent array of customization options
