Why there are people who unironically thinks every Pokémon in the existence will look grotesque in photorealism?

I mean, some kinds of design like Golurk, Magnemite and Probopass wouldn't change even a bit because they can keep their design in photorealism, and some Pokémon like Pikachu and Morelull looks good in the trailer. So, why do people think every Pokémon would look like this pic?
