>>36977848Celadon City is one of the largest cities in the game yet is organically built instead of being a stifling urban grid like Saffron. There are open spaces to walk and bike in, grass and trees are everywhere in the city and around it, and there's a huge and very handy department store that even has optional drinks at the top. The neat stuff continues with the Pokemon Mansion where you can obtain an Eevee, meet the developers of the game, and get an award for catching every Pokemon. The Game Corner has replay value for Pokemon and TMs alike, there's a whole dungeon to defeat below it, and you can both fish for Pokemon (it's a cleaner pond in Gen I too) and enter a lot of random buildings where you can talk to the citizenry.
Celadon is the most happening place in the game. It's the posh comfy city while Saffron is industrial and packed like canned sardines. For all the buildings it has, Saffron barely lets you in any of them and has less to explore than Celadon.
