Why would you care about framerate in a game that's not important in? If this was a fighter or FPS, sure, but a turn based RPG where you do nothing on the overworld but bump into monsters? $60 meme I guess.

I think they've bugfixed before but there has never been a content patch. Gamefreak is more than willing to sell you the same game with about $10 worth of DLC at fullprice however, as evidenced by USUM.
It's more likely we'll get "Let's Go Psyduck!" with Gen 2 Pokemon than it is that LGPE will get content updates.

The only time a generation in my mind has been worse than the previous was Gen 6, and it wasn't that bad a drop
