My favourite Pokemon of all time but I can definitely see why people could be offended by the original design. I do hate the original op-ed that started the whole thing off though.
It' written by someone with a serious chip on her shoulder who insists she has to have been designed to be intentionally offensive.
She states that its down to the Japanese sense of superioirty and cites the fact they wouldn't let the US build a military base on their mainland as evidence towards that. The whole article is inflamatory and you could argue she intended to create anti-japanese sentiments in America by using such a political example as evidence.

It got a real lol from me. I also really like that you stayed faithful to her hair. Too many Jynx evos give her Primarina tier hair and I just hate it.
One of my favourite things about Jynx is her attack mode hair and you can't get that when it's in a fucking tight bun.

I'm not talking just about Jynx. Every Pokémon in existence with some controversy has an easy explanation for their design. But we live in a timeline where everyone try hard to feel offended with everything so doesn't matter if they have an explanation.

Oh right, yeah I completely agree with that. I'm pretty liberal but even I think the world is an overly sensitive shitshow atm.
I never thought I'd have any sympathy for large companies but they can be held to ransom by someones fucking twitter account these days. Truth doesn't even matter as long as they claim to be outraged enough.

In the epic Jynx thread yesterday I was talking about her stadium animations and someone suggested she get Ice Slap as a signature move.
I thought about it a bit more and it'd be cool if it dealt physical damage using her special stat like psyshock.
But totally agree. I was even more upset about no Alolan form since I feel she was the primest of candidates.

The ones that I want to see are like the Steel, Rock, and Poison types.

Also, it seems as if people forget that Pokemon are monsters. The slightly unsettling designs are actually appropriate in my mind.
