Post spin-off games better than some or most mainline games

I'd rather play this than play anything from Gen 1, Gen 6, or Gen 7, any day of the year

Unironically TCG2 is my favorite game in the entire franchise, my favorite gameboy color game, and an easy contender for my top 20 games of all time. maybe even top 15.

I wish there were more card game vidya with a story mode and shit like that. Or even just modern card game vidya that weren't moneysuckers.

I've certainly played my fair share of GB2 on my DSTwo on my 3DS, but I love the 3DS VC emulation and I'd much rather be playing it that way. One of these days, I want to get a 3DS and hack it so I can fulfill my dreams of playing it on VC.

No, but it's also apparently as much of a game as the old Pokemon Play It! 2. Meaning it's just a bunch of tutorials and you get to free duel with a few preset decks after you're done with the tutorials. You'd play it for about three hours and put it down forever.

The Pokemon Pinball games are fun. The Sapphire and Ruby edition is my favorite. I also liked the Pokemon Ranger games.

I loved the original Pokemon Pinball as a kid despite the janky physics. Didn't really enjoy the RS version as much for some reason, though. There's just something about the original I enjoy more.

Yeah story modes in tcg vidya is great. Monster Rancher Card Battle is another great GB example. Too bad the Pokemon tcg online client has destroyed any possibility for more quality tcg games.

I don't want to shit on it. It's a good way to play the game. I just wish they'd make a modern game in the style of the old game boy ones to play along side it. But it seems like the end all for the virtual side of the tcg right now.

Agreed. I really enjoy the solo tcg games, and the deck restrictions were really fun to work around too. I played both of them for the first time this year and I had a lot of fun. Wish the online client would have a better single player mode.
