It's like they tried to make a story driven gane like Gen 5 but they gave up halfway and left it alone with its inconcistencies
Then Gen 7 came being like 60% with super long unskippable cutscenes
Why would Game Freak go back to being story heavy? Is it because everyone mocked XY? Game Freak constantly misintrepets and misconstruct why people hated a gane so it wouldn't surprise me
Pokemon doesn't need heavy dialogue and cutscenes or add too much fluff to characters to be memorable, it just needs to make sense and not have robotic NPCs devoid of heart
I'm pretty sure more people remembers Cyrus than most Gen 5 and 6 characters, and in some years I'm sure people will remember him more than most or the Gen 7 cast
