>>36988337It makes sense thematically for a grappler, he needs to have a strong grip on their opponents, and that's probably what GF was going for given they have other little details about him that completely fly over everyone's heads, like how he looks like in an arm lock when he takes damage.
It's just that these are all very subtle and many don't understand them without searching deeper into the concept, which is something GF are at fault at, especially when designing a starter.
