Pretty sure the only thing Plat improved speed-wise was Surfing movement, but I can't say that with certainty.

It was pretty much just gen 4. It wasn't as fast as 5 in the older generations but it wasn't exactly slow.

Yes they do, you stupid fucking retard. If you want a faster game to soothe your ADHD, then that's the price you have to pay. Faster text and turning off animations has been in every single game since Red and Green, so it's not a case of compensating.
