So I know I'm a massive fag for still kinda wanting to get LGPE, but I just want to catch them all and have my favorites right beside me again. It sucks to see things like abilities, held items and wild battles being tossed tho. Don't think this should be the norm for the record. I just wanna adventure with my bros. Should I sit this one out or go for it /vp/?

There is literally nothing you can do in LGPE that can't be done in HGSS or the wealth of Pokemon romhacks.
The fact that you agree the game being stripped down is bad and yet still want to drop $60 on a game with 20 hours worth of content is absurd. Hold yourself to a higher standard and skippy skip this trash.

I agree with you guys, but fuck bros. It's absolutely ridiculous that they cut as much stuff out of this game as they did. The only other reason I have for wanting to get this game is a friend of mine. Close friend of mine is getting LGE and they were banking on me getting LGP to trade and what not. Do you think it'd be worth it with a friend?

I mean, you can get it if you want but if you're just trying to trade with a friend, that's arguably not worth $60. Just wait for Smash and play that with him instead. The way you're typing makes me believe you're gonna buy the game, beat the E4 the next day and instantly regret your purchase.

That's exactly what I'm afraid of. I'm torn man. I think I'll talk to my friend about it and see how he feels. I know I'll enjoy it for a while at the very least with my bud, but once he drops it I might get burned because he doesn't come back to games often and I know this game doesn't have a lot to come back to.

Your logic makes no sense, the game is bad but you can do the exact same thing you can do in every pokemon game so you are tempted. There isn't even a need to trade in this game, Aoi stream caught them all in about a day. Your problem is you're a brain dead consumer who just buys stuff cause of brand. Buy it, but remember that removes any right you have to complain about the state of pokemon games before or after. Because they depend on people like you who will buy something just cause it means a pokemon will stand beside them.

If you keep buying games from a series you think has turned bad for the best part of a decade, that means you really don't care about it improving. Complaining in that case is pointless, you keep giving them money and then go whoa this is bad what the hell. The quality of the game changing clearly has no bearing on if you will play these games.

Even if you loved the last few gens, LGPE is clearly bad, OP has clearly stated he thinks it looks bad but then pokemon walking besides him is enough to overturn all that. Clearly pokemon being around matters more to him that quality. So bitching about how good the games are makes no sense for him, he should be complaining that there weren't enough epic references for him to clap at.

If OP knows about the flaws of the game, disagrees with them but still chooses to drop $60 on them, I agree with the other anon that he loses his right to complain about LGPE or any other future Gamefreak games if they continue to remove features and Pokemon.
He looked into the abyss and jumped anyways even though there were miles and miles of red flags and yellow tape.

OP here. I agree with you guys to a certain degree. As much as I do autistically enjoy my pokes being outside of their pokeballs, I'm gonna need some more epic references. Seriously though I get what you guys are saying you have fair points. I definitely need to talk to my friend and see how sold he is on this game.
