Dropping a tier into UU means not dealing with the same teams all the time- ubiquitous Pokémon such as, say, Landorus and Greninja- without giving up too many team options. In UU, good meme sets are still viable: hoge, snips, I suppose Cupkek... Boom Boom is lost, but he understands sacrifice anyways. UU also lets overshadowed sets be used more. Random examples: champ a lamp, Boom Room, and tiny fucken lamp.
A tier drop is worth it to get away from, say, Landorus, Greninja, Toxapex, Landorus, Mega Lopunny, Garchomp, Greninja, Gliscor, Landorus, Zygarde, Earthquake, and Landorus. Just random examples.
