I mean, no matter what way you slice it, these games are going to sell at least 7m. Which makes it either the best-selling spin-off ever, or it sells better than both Emerald and Crystal's efforts. Either way, neither outcome is a flop by any metric, except the ones in Pajeet's head.

I speak for me, i don't know how you feel, but about to move over. The franchise once so beloved from me has devolved in yet another shovelware on the market. Gen 8 won't be any better since low effort pays. Unironically old Masuda was one of the few that cared the most in GF (and that's really saying a lot), when he stopped caring literally nobody at GF, as lazy as they are, are going to deliver good shit anymore. You already saw "the new blood" in action. Probabily that's the right direction for waifufag wankers though. At this point I'd rather play Senran Kagura or something.

Until they get fed up and leave to create a spiritual successor better than the original which LGP/LGE has likely pushed some of them towards since Masuda admitted they didn't want to do shit like remove wild battles either, even though he made them do it anyway.

Or someone else just makes the better one like Bravely/Octopath Traveller which essentially amounts to being both of those things combined in that it took off from Final Fantasy (4 Heroes of Light) only kept truer to it's origin while maintaining the better additions to the combat and making them better. Didn't sell better but they're far better games than mainline FF has been since 5.
