Yeah. IVs added unnecessary grinding to competitive play, but EVs were actually useful and easy to train.

I personally never got the necessity to them. I feel Natures were just fine on their own in terms of making a certain stat stronger

IVs are still in the game and EVs are still recorded, though don't have an effect in-game.
Anyways, here's some things it did wrong
>Removed wild battles
>Removed Gen 2+ Pokemon
>Removed abilities
>Removed held items
>Removed breeding
>Gave stupidly overpowered moves with shitty names to partners
>EXP All unable to be toggled
>Chibi-style again
>Gym requirements existing
>Meltan can't evolve outside of GO, and takes forever to evolve that way
>Mandatory motion controls docked
>Single Joy-Con only while docked
>Mew is behind a $50 paywall
>The candy system is broken in every imaginable way
That's all I can think of off the top of my head though.

Nature's suck ass, you always only have 2 viable ones per pokemon and all the others are trash.

With EVs you can choose to invest in HP or Def a little to just survive a hit or go full offense/defense. Whatever suits your playstyle.

It takes 10 minutes to fully EV train a Pokemon in gens 6+ because of hordes and SOS battles. 10 minutes isn't a lot of time. That's like an hour for a full competitive team.

Yeah in Sun and Moon it's much quicker, but it might not be the same afterwards. In future games those might not be a thing anymore, like what they did with the daycare hatching and leveling circle that we had in XY and ORAS

I feel like egg hatching was much faster overall due to the ability to put Taurus in the small fenced in area in front of the daycare and the ability to send eggs directly to the PC or swap them from your party. They'll probably find a more streamlined way to train EVs. Otherwise they wouldn't have left the values in LGPE in the first place.

There's no reason not to add them back. They have all of the animations made already. Ridable pokemon will probably be absent or limited to a ride pager like in SM though.

EVs create the illusion you can customize your mons despite most them having two stats that are vastly higher than the rest making you retarded for no infesting in those states only.

I suggest kind of combining natures & IVs. IV distribution would be like EV distribution where an amount of points is distributed between the six stats. So if a stat can have a maximum of seven points & the pool of points for every Pokémon is 21, then you can have a Pokemon with max IVs in Defense, Special Defense, & HP but nothing in Attack, Special Attack, or Speed.

I like how you can choose what you want to encounter. Occasionally you may not be able to avoid Pokémon, but that's okay. It gives the players all the responsibility of avoiding a battle.

I prefer catching Pokémon without battling. Battling should be between trainers, not against unsuspecting wild Pokémon.

You can customise though, you can run multiple sets on Pokemon thanks to EVs. Limiting it to just moves/natures would prevent some Pokemon from living or KO'ing important match ups. It adds a lot to competitive play and doesn't detract from casual play, there is literally no downside to having them.

no random encounters was actually a good thing despite what autists will tell you. Not being able to battle wilds sucks, but actually being able to see them in the overworld and avoid them is a good thing.
