>Do you sometimes deny ideas from your team ?
Yeah a part of the team would like to make more scary pokemon but that's not the spirit of pokémon !"
>How do you explain the success of Pokemon for more than 20 years ?
We've always tried to make accessible games in which it is easy to understand what is needed to be done. I liked shoot them up a long time ago.
But they became more and more complex over the years and lots of players have shifted away from the genre. I think that it's a pity.
That's what I want to avoid with Pokémon. I still want to be here in 5 or 10 years. And for that we need to make accessible and comprehensive games. Our goal, our philosophy is to offer gameplay that makes people happy.
