>>37003850Having played all three back to back, I feel like there's a progression in the series, DS1 being more of a dark fantasy type, with DS3 leaning more heavily in lovecraftian horror, possibly inspired by Bloodborne research.
Some people find DS3 to be a dissapointing sequel that sometimes invests wayy too much in DS1 callbacks but it's clearly made with though and love, which is something Gamefreak hasn't done in years.
And unlike GF, FromSoft at least knows when to stop or take a step back, which is why they're doing Sekiro now instead of shitting out yearly Souls times for a quick buck
