pokemon is literally dead and has been since at least gen 4. the next generation is going to be like the last; melodramatic, drawn out story to replace a gameplay that has lost its immersion for years. more and more, until the games are just another version of the anime.
gamefreak now relies on a tired fandom to get more money, but it makes sure to spit on them every once in a while. LGPE was an experiment on how much of a shit the fandom gives. and sure, /vp/ dislikes the whole thing, but this is a fringe group on the internet. the games are going to be successes like all other pokemon games have been. and so the cycle goes.
