It's funny, all the 10/10 and 0/0 spammed has left a score that is actually pretty accurate of these games. They are a 5 at best, not unplayable and not the pinicle, just meh. I saw an anon earlier mention it's ironic that a series intended to bring people together has divided the fanbase so badly. To me it's just sad. Will Pokemon ever be comfy for everyone again?

As if pre-release, blackmailed reviews (if you don't give at least 80, we blacklist you and you won't get your free game to review next time) even matter. You must be delusional to believe they have any standards of objectivity to uphold, their job is to literally trick you into buying a game with their review. They're advertisments basically. No review posted before the release date should be ever taken into consideration, especially if there is such a huge gap between critics score and audience score.

This is the big problem. Right now, Pokemon GO has all of the first 3 gens, and is slowly rolling out gen 4. You've got like 400 pokemon right there, and there's always some event going on, giving you a reason to keep playing. If you have that, why would you pay money for a game with only 153, and almost no replay value? I mean we all know Gamefreak isn't going to add anything new to it, so what you see is almost guaranteed to be all you get. There's literally no reason to buy it if you're a GO player, because it's almost objectively inferior to it.

The game honestly IMO looks nintendo-tier "good". Something Like Wii/Wii-U mario game levels of graphics that I've grown to expect from nintendo titles. We all know what he means (a mainline game as only ever been the new games of each generation and their third game), and we all know that they aren't REALLY treating it like a mainline game, because nothing else in the franchise is changing as though a new mainline game came out.
