Honestly was hesitant to buy it. I hated S/M because I wanted to play Pokémon not watch a movie. I’m not into Pokémon go really, played off and on at work for the past couple of years. My favorite games are diamond/pearl/platinum and explorers of sky.
I started it with my girlfriend and holy shit it’s fun. We’re trying to split the team between us, three mons each. We fight over who’s ball caught the Pokémon. We make our own jokes and spend a lot of time exploring every little inch. It’s fun with someone else, really fun, but I don’t think it would be as fun alone.
