So what could be the big new gimmick for Gen 8 to try and win back fans?
Let's assume the timeline corrects itself and Gen 8 is a legitimate sequel game that reverts back to all the trappings of a traditional Pokémon game.
What would they add this time? We had following Pokémon, Megas, Z-Moves, the Fairy type, Dark and Steel types...
Personally I think we'll get a new type and the return of some fan favorite things, like following Pokémon.
