Nvidia crashed after Thursday when earnings announced were nowhere near as high as analysts thought. (the crypto bubble was a big part of this)
Weak demand for Nvidia's chips will likely cause less Switch sales, which makes Nintendo's goal of selling 20 million switches significantly harder. Even Sony dropped a fair amount yesterday.

However this kind of image thing with Nintendo’s relationship with nvidia could be the cause for the drop, as illogical as that sounds. Investors aren’t the smart computermen they’re often portrayed as, image is a huge deal with them. Also remember these are the same people who invested billions in the wrong company after pokemon go hit it big, and it took like a week for anyone to realize it.

Yes it does there's uncertainty on the srock market because nvidia has a shit ton of cryptocoins and the price on the high en gpus is rising so the price on the end of marketing chain causes lower total sales due to higher costs, investors are afraid nvidia has overstock of gpus and they eon't get any revenue out of it, also newer generation gpus are more expensive and will more than likely rise console costs more than so because nintendo is planning a revamp for the switch due 2019 with a better gpu and display analysts always have their eyes on stuff like this because companies will morr than likely invest a shitton of money on supplychains and their revenue will barely gross what they expect as minimum earnings, that's the trend of sales since the last decade in consoles and PC too that's why cellphone cahsgrab shit tier games are more atrractive you rip off the playerbase and also don't invest that much as you would for a AAA game that you'd release in a console which is Nintendo's prefered way of releasing games

Nintendo is a publicly traded company. If there's sales data that investors or shareholders know about, then so does everybody. If they kept that information non-public, it'd be a violation of about a hundred securities laws.

Its dropping because the latest releases have been overwhelmingly lackluster. Smash bros ultimate especially was a real lazy shoe in and they know this. They had fighters no one wanted and invested all their money and production time on bringing back all the characters that they forgot about what the fans wanted. As for lgpe its the same casualized shit and has record low sales

We also don't know it's sales yet. The most likely answer is Nvidia because if they're projecting low sales it means companies using their chips are probably not ordering as many.
