Isn't Switch their best selling console ever? Why would you greentext it if it's going to be about as old as DS was back when Pearl was released meaning Let's Go will end up selling just as good or even better?

BOTW was at the very beginning of the lifespan of the Switch and Odyseey only about half a year into it. A game getting released really early into a console's lifespan is going to sell a lot less compared to if it got released much later.

In Japan, the sales were better overseas and that was the reason Survive was announced earliest for outside of Japan than CS, N0 & HM, and for all consoles instead of just Playstation. You're honestly gonna tell me they're gonna release a game for Japan only on Xbox One?

If anything this is a great time for Digimon to gain some traction, they've been putting out some great games lately and even if the series really isn't a "competitor" to Pokemon lots of people still see it that way, so with Pokemon shitting the bed it's in a good position to offer an alternative.

Survive might even draw attention from Fire Emblem fans who are pissed off at that series' direction.

True, if not we know that the next Digimon Story game is going to be graphically better since Habu expressed that the games were being held back mainly by the Vita. That and the main reason why HM flopped in Japan was because it's a third version of sorts of an already existing game, the same happened Re-Digitize DeCode, the vanilla game sold great while the follow-up title not so well, but the fact sales were better outside of Japan this time around is probably what convinced them to announce Survive so early compared to past titles.
