The entire leveling system needs to be reworked but not to include more than 100 levels. If a change is to occur to the overall cap it should be to be dropped to Level 50.
Though there is a much better way to do it this is the only one lazy ass Game Freak is likely to take.
Which I say with some authority having already been actually re-working it all myself and seeing it'll probably take me a couple months worth of hours to get it all just right. No way in hell are they likely to do it right when it doesn't go along with rushing yearly shit out.
