He's not in the credits of LGPE, which means he's very busy with the 2019 game. He must be the director of it, if he couldn't lend any help to the LGPE team.

Only brainlets and hoennbabies hate Ohmori. He did tons of cool things in SM, and there is no evidence to suggest lots of dialogue and cutscenes is something he wants in every game. Plus, LGPE's skip movie feature is a good sign if the next game is heavily story focused again.

Removing HMs, totem battles, ultra beast lore, pokepelago, Battle Royal, Battle Tree cameos, having good postgame for first versions. The story ideas were also interesting, just hurt by being forced too much. I think he's shown that he's willing to try new things and freshen up the game which Pokemon really needed.

Also keep in mind Ohmori was running out of time making SM and yet they still managed to get all that stuff in. SM is generally good, just hurt by some major flaws.
