I dunno I'm kinda bored of the endless bait threads so can we at least use our dissatisfaction for a productive discussion?
Try and suggest ways you think XY, ORAS, SM, USUM and LGPE could be better, while keeping as close to the original game as possible.

Readd abilities and held items
Add cross-gen evolutions for the Kanto pokemon to the main game
Keep the Sevii Islands from FRLG, and once again use them for gen 2+ Pokemon

BW sucked from the get go. Don’t think you can redeem it with those designs

XY was alright since it Kanto pandered, Serena was a hot french chick, and Fennekin was cute.

SM and USUM suck. No national dex. Gen 7 is shit. Island trials are shit. Ultra Beasts look like digimon ripoffs. The only thing good was the Lillie and Lusamine doujins.

LGPE is perfect. Masuda striked gold at least for his last entry even though his other entries were shit. What a Chad. I’m going to miss him.

This is the hardest one. Rewrite fucking everything and/or remove Shauna/Tierno/that orange haired guy, don't bloat the region with a ridiculous number of Pokemon, and slap in scaling exp to help balance the exp share.

Would have been a perfect time for Sevii Islands to come back. Remove exp share or rescale entire region difficulty to compensate.

Story and characters are decent but needs rewriting to waste less time, and/or skip function. Being able to surf between islands yourself would have been nice

Same as above but don't remove the fucking Looker storyline and make Ultra Megapolis an actual fucking area, it would have been the perfect place for a Battle Frontier. Battle Frontier alone would have made USM 10/10 contender to BW2. Also, more megas or scrap the concept entirely.

I think XY would have been perfect if they had some post game or something to flesh the game out more.
For example, Zygarde was just chilling in a cave with no lore or anything. Even Mewtwo had some buildup with the Cinnabar hournals. With Zygarde it was just there until it got dumped into SM with his new forms.
I think that most of the work in XY went to making models, and animations for all of the existing and new Pokémon, and the rest of the game wasn’t as fulfilled as other first versions.

Also USUM should have been DLC. It added relatively little, the biggest attraction was a handful of new mons and formes, and some z moves. The majority of the game was the same as SM, leaving what was left of Lusamine’s buildup completely out of place. They even left the frozen Pokémon in her lab but we just ignore this because she isn’t the focus anymore. Splitting a third version into two is unacceptable, it was massive step down from the last one we got, BW2.
