So what super autistic self-imposed rules are you playing with to make LGPE just a little more enjoyable?
>box Pikachu ASAP and never touch him again; he's too OP (and I don't even like Pikachu anyway)
>can only catch one of each Pokemon species to try and avoid overleveling, and avoid large/small pokemon to reduce exp bonuses
>can't touch any of the stat boosting candies
>can only have Pokemon in my party that I plan on bringing to endgame, everything else goes in the box ASAP (for example, i'm up to Cerulean City and i'm only running Nidoran and Mankey so far) I really wish there was an option to have every new Pokemon automatically be sent to the box instead of taking up party space
I think this setup has been pretty alright so far. I've actually wiped once to the Bulbasaur Coach Trainer because I was 2-3 levels underleveled, and Jessie+James in the cave actually forced me to think a bit and use some healing items.
Speaking of self-imposed rules, is a Nuzlocke run even possible or manageable in this game with how you need to catch pokemon to level? Not to mention the element of surprise that makes them fun is lost when you can see everything before engaging with them.
