There are a bunch of games over the years I've liked well enough or I'm at least pretty sure I would that I just don't bother with much if at all because I'd rather spend it doing something Pokémon or a couple others I'm more obsessed with.
Be casual all you like but in general I don't like playing games unless I'm going to be my best at them.
Beyond that, it's being realistic. I don't have infinite time so if I know a game will take more time to learn I don't bother when I have others that are more important to me that I actually REALLY like learning.
This is why AAA live service crap will fail in the long term fail. People simply don't have time for grinding a thousand trashy yearly "games" daily and most of them won't pay to skip grind when they have no time to play it at all.
