Someone told me that Lonely is better, and that people who say Hasty is good aren't considering the fact that there are only the original 151 Pokémon in this game. Can you comment on this?

They're probably right, since the starter Pikachu has very high speed anyway and you probably won't need the nature boost. Lonely would be better but Hasty isn't bad in any way.

Hmmm. Is there any possibility that we'll be able to use these Pokémon in other games, making Hasty ideal? Or should I try for Lonely, assuming I'll only ever have to put this Pikachu up against the original 151?

Unless you're planning to do a lot of online battles it won't really matter anyway, since you can beat any Pokémon game without caring to much about natures.
