Also, "Mon" isn't a real word. The closest usages of that would be an abbreviation of monday (so pronounced like son, ton, won) or a Jamaican accent transliteration of man (so pronounced like on, con, moron). Not to mention the fact that when a sound is from a foreign word people tend to think of a long "o" sound when they see an o. That's three different possibilities with enough reasoning behind it to warrant further clarification.
You can't just write "it's pronounced like mon" and expect everyone to think the same thing. If this is your way of thinking it might benefit you to work on your audience analysis skills to better help people understand you. Try thinking about another perspective besides the one you've decided is the correct one. Will help your communication in general.
