News for Gen 8:

>Next games are designed as a bridge between casual LGPE players and veteran gamers

>Similar to BW2, you start in a region north of Kanto, with some new snowy/mountainous routes and towns to explore, then traverse the usual areas

There are many changes:
- Two new Gyms (Normal-type and Ice-type) in the new area
- Blaine's Gym is 'under construction' in a post-eruption Cinnabar, and Erika's Gym is now a botanical garden / glasshouse building growing Berries.
- Koga/Janine double battle Gym
- Johto E4 (Lance in Koga's place), with new rival as the Champion

- All cross-gen evolutions are back, many other-gen pokemon make appearances
- Lots more aquatic pokemon from fishing/beaches/diving
- New starter pokemon, and some new pokemon on early routes
- Some new Kanto mega evolutions
- New areas in old places (Mt Moon Square, Deep Viridian Forest, Bird Sanctuary Island off R12, Pewter Cave, etc.)
- Dewgong diving in many sea routes, with Sunken Ship exploration
