That was more of a QoL feature than a handholding feature, since you needed the Pokemon registered to the dex. Most RPGs tell you what's effective damage.

idk about americans but mac users in my uni are always at a disadvantage because everybody else could easily transfer files from one device to another(doesnt matter if it's samsung or lenovo or asus, pc or mobile) and easily use the wireless printing services in the uni. also we could borrow each other's chargers

Type Effectiveness only showed after you fought a Pokemon, meaning you would only know about type effectiveness after using some moves on the Pokemon.
This is the equilivent of saying that a map is the same type of hand holding as having a boss skip button or a super move usable at any time.
It is so pathetic Pajeets try to throw the core games under the bus to defend LGPE and get their 0.02$ pay, but fail every time.

Nope. Once you have this pokémon registered, like, for trade or just caught at first ball, they will give you type effectiveness, and ALL type effectiveness, not only the attacks you used against the mon. Stop apologizing SM, lmao.

It's technically both but either way it would've made sens to have it. Especially when you're only getting half the story from shit like needing a Grass or Water-Type for Brock since it's not the only types that can work.

It makes zero sense to only require those as well. What the fuck was the point of giving Pikachu Double Kick if they weren't going to inform you in any way that it's super effective against Brock?
