it's pretty hard though. I tried doing Gastly chains and keep failing once I get to 15. I don't know how to aim this pokeball plus, it just goes all over place.

I got more farming EXP from XY's Friend Safari than he has in his run through. They are fucking easy to game, and it's just a palette swap.

I'm pretty sure this game really was made for the 3DS but ported over mid-development. It seems balanced around hand held mode and the 3DS did have AR functionality.

I discovered that the motion you need is a flick, not a swipe. It made catching with motion controls WAY easier. Instead of moving the joycon as if you were hitting someone on the top of their head with it, flick it as if you were swatting a fly. This applies to aiming the ball left and right too. Doing so became way easier for me once I started doing this. But just using the joycons attached to the Switch is the easiest way to do it since you get full control over it.

Shinies have always been a shit idea that promotes cheating and autism of legendary proportions. They should just switch to having 4-5 palettes per pokemon in gen 8.

Trust me, that would just fuel the autism. Some people literally have shiny living dexes with their own OTs (mythicals where possible)

Regardless, I agree with you. Shinys have been trash since Gen IV and the introduction of wifi. Not that this would help, but it'd be a bit interesting again
